-Extraction Method: Tea tree essential oil is typically steam distilled. Steam is passed through the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia tree, causing the essential oil to evaporate. The vapors are then condensed and collected, resulting in the final essential oil.

-Aroma: Tea tree essential oil has a fresh, medicinal, and slightly camphoraceous scent.

-Main Chemical Components: The major chemical components found in tea tree essential oil include terpinen-4-ol, gamma-terpinene, alpha-terpinene, 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol), and alpha-terpineol.
