2) Soften the kokum butter:

You can do this by placing the kokum butter in the mixing bowl and allowing it to come to room temperature naturally. Alternatively, you can use a double boiler setup or microwave in short bursts, stirring occasionally until it softens.

3) Add optional ingredients:
